Twenty + years of asking why.
I grew up taking things apart to see how they worked, and I never really stopped. These days it's software instead of stereos: I ask a lot of questions, listen for what people actually mean, and hand back something they're glad to use.
Experience, strengths, and receipts.
Radical accepter, and…
Full-stack experience designer.
I've spent 20+ years untangling enterprise software. I like the messy problems, the ones with a dozen stakeholders and no obvious answer, and I don't stop poking at them until they make sense to the people using them.
I'm a maker. Always have been. There's usually a canvas half finished, a camera in my bag, something coming up in the garden, and a new tool I'm teaching myself for no good reason.
I meet people where they are. I ask before I assume, and I'd rather have the awkward conversation early than the expensive one later. People tell me I'm direct, which I take as a compliment.
Home is Austin and Colorado, with my partner Derek, too many plants, a lot of tea, and live bluegrass whenever I can get to it. Off the clock I'm outside, picking at a tune, or talking someone's ear off.
If you're building something complicated and want it to feel simple, let's talk.
